Mini-Failures on the Road to Success

Listen. There is no expectation to knock a massive lifestyle change right out of the park on the first try. Refrain from feeling any feelings of guilt or remorse around your food choices. Chalk a moment-in-time dodgy food decision up to just that: a moment in time.

Truthfully, when my clients come to me with their tail between their legs declaring "FAILURE," I like it. I don't even need to ask them how it felt: they offer it up on a silver platter:

"I made a bad choice this weekend and I felt so miserable and now I'm all bloaty and, ugh... I'm so mad that I undid all my hard work. It wasn't even THAT delicious!"

Great. Now you know.

I do believe the path to success is paved with mini-"failures." It's part of the process. Don't beat yourself up over it. You didn't undo all of your hard work. You jsut experienced a moment of choosing unsupportive foods and - lo and behold - you felt kinda bad afterward. Good! A lesson learned.

Walk and talk with me....
