About

User Interface Update:The revised interface for AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT is the culmination of work we have done with our users over the last year, plus feedback we have gotten from AutoCAD and LT technical support and user communities. We have made a number of changes, and we have also taken the opportunity to update the look and feel of the program to more closely match the look of Windows 10. We have also updated the icons to match the new icons Microsoft has used for Windows 10, and we have brought them up to the same level of quality as the icons we use in AutoCAD.The old command bar and ribbon interface is still available and still works the same way, but you will also find the new interface in the Preferences. If you do not like the look of the new interface, you can still get back to the old interface by selecting the Legacy Interface option.(videos: 1:06 min)Document Closure:In AutoCAD LT, you can now document the interior of a closed model (designed with the Model Manager command) and the exterior of a closed model (designed with the Model Manager command). This is a first step towards the Document Closure feature in the future. Now your users can draft models of a closed space and then proceed to visualize a 3-D model of the inside or outside of that space.AutoCAD LT will be the first application in the industry to offer this functionality.(videos: 0:41 min)Rendering Technology:Pixar RenderMan is the first rendering technology included in AutoCAD LT 2023, and it will be available in the next major release of AutoCAD LT after 2023. For more information, visit www.pixar.com.The addition of Pixar RenderMan is a significant addition to the capabilities of AutoCAD LT 2023. This rendering technology enables a rich and photorealistic image. The rendering technology provides support for ray tracing, which dramatically improves the look of the images you produce.AutoCAD LT users can render their designs at a variety of resolutions, ranging from 1.4 megapixels to 72 megapixels. The user interface of RenderMan is similar to that of other AutoCAD LT options, and you can work with the images in the same way you do with images generated by other software tools.(video: 1:29 2be273e24d
