What is The Metabolic Reboot?

 

So, why a "Reboot?" And what kind of metabolic miracles can you expect during our month together?

 

In my experience, after working with over 1000 clients, we can move metabolic mountains in just a few weeks days. It takes a re-education; an unlearning and then relearning of health concepts involving food, movement, and lifestyle. My all-time favourite metabolic hacks are laid out in this 21-day program, delivered daily. 

 

First, what is "metabolism?"

You may only know metabolism as being a mystical, cosmic process that either moves "fast" (yay!) or "slow" (boo). Please allow me to offer the world's fastest clarification on that for you:

 

Metabolism is the system of the body that decides how fuel is used. Is the food you eat effectively taken up into the cells and used as fuel to provide energy for the body? Or is it carried away and stored as fat? And then, if that happens, metabolism also is responsible for determining how and when (and if!) that stored fat is mobilized out of storage and into the cells, to be used as fuel.

 

Maybe you go to the gym to "burn fat." Maybe you carefully select certain foods to help you "burn fat."

I'm here to tell you that you can't and won't "burn fat" until you metabolic processes are brought online.

 

That's what The Metabolic Reboot will do.

 

Understanding all of this, you can probably recognize that your metabolism determines how much fat you have on your body, how readily that fat can be accessed and burned, and also directly impacts how much energy you have. It impacts how your body feels, and how you feel in your body. It even impacts your mood, mental clarity, and attitude. When you can get energy from food — and from your own fat stores — a lot of things get better. 

 

The fast metabolism/slow metabolism paradigm is a bothersome to me. It's oversimplified and dead wrong. I want you to forget about what speed you think your metabolism is destined to run. In my opinion and experience, we are all designed to be perfect, optimal, fuel-efficient units. Every one of us can have the energy and the waistline that we desire.

Who's the Reboot For?

 

I do my best work with women who struggle with one or more of the following:

  • Bewildered, confused and nervous about making the “wrong” food decisions. Unsure what to eat.

  • Overwhelmed by food information; there's so much conflicting advice! "Should I be drinking more water? Should I be eating less red meat? Aren’t carbs bad for you?" etc.

  • Struggle with mindless eating, boredom eating, stress eating, sugar cravings, mid-afternoon snack attacks, etc.

  • Feel as though their bodies have become more sensitive to "diet indiscretions" as they've moved into their 40s and beyond.

  • Plant-exclusive eaters. I believe in the power of protein and my method
    of crafting epic metabolic health is way easier with some animal protein. Do not 
    join The Metabolic Reboot if you are plant-based.

  • Those looking for help with very difficult aesthetic goals (dropping body
    to a fat very low, aka “getting shredded”); or athletic performance goals.

How It Works

 

Let’s talk the tactics of The Metabolic Reboot. Here's what the our 21 days together look like:

 

>> Daily Learning & Action Emails

Every day you'll receive an email. It will contain the educational lesson and task of the day. You might not always be able to execute on that task on that particular day. That's okay... Get to it when you can.

 

Each of the daily tasks are meant to layer overtop of each other in a particular sort of way, so as long as you do your best to implement what's delivered as soon as you can, you're going to feel like a totally different person in just 21 days' time. 

 

Some of the tasks are big — like asking you to clean out your pantry and fridge and get rid of a few "food groups." Some of the tasks are small — like taking a 7 minute rest in the middle of your day.

 

They're all important; and they're delivered in a specific order and timing to improve your metabolic function.

Over the course of our 21 days together, you'll connect with me live via Facebook as I offer up deeper education on what you've learned so far, answer your questions, and teach you how to make simple food shifts that taste good, aren't fussy, and will get your metabolism ticking like a clock.

Q: What's the difference between the Basic and VIP offer? A: The Basic version of The Metabolic Reboot gives you the same experience Rebooters have always had: 21 immersive days of learning a totally new and exciting way to support your midlife metabolism to forever fat loss. Basic members get access to the video replays for 30 days. New for the July 2024 Reboot, we're putting the emphasis on how to specifically support a midlife female metabolism, particularly in perimenopause. The fact is, things change, and we need to take a much deeper approach to supporting ourselves to better health and happiness in our bodies. You will work with Erin in a personalized coaching relationship to learn specific skills and knowledge to impart on your midlife, perimenopausal metabolism. Q: Will I need to take any supplements in this program? A: Absolutely not. The Metabolic Reboot focues mainly on fod changes, with some crucial lifestyle change elements as a focus as well. No pills, no potions, nothing extra to waste your money on.

Q: Is there a meal plan? Recipe guide? Do I need to buy special groceries? A: No, no, and no. I keep the food potion of The Metabolic Reboot as SIMPLE as possible! It's important that you can find, afford, and understand the food you need to eat to support your midlife metabolism. It's also important that you can eat the same foods as everyone in your family. There is nothing "weird" about the fod plan inside The Metabolic Reboot.

Q: Will you teach me how to eat at restaurants/on the run/at work/etc... A: You betcha! This way of eating has to fit into your life... not the other way around! We're going to concoct a TRULY SUSTAINABLE eating plan.

Q: Are there workouts in the program? A: Nope. We will talk about "movement," but metabolism doesn't really respond to exercise in the way we've been lead to believe. Exercise, for example, is really not important for fat loss. Just one of many ways I'll be blowing your mind inside the Reboot!

Q: I'm already in menopause due to my age/surgical procedures. Will this work for me? A: Yes. The information presented in the Reboot is for post-reproductive women in or through the menopause transition.

Q: Are you going to tell us how to do hormone replacement therapy? A: No. I'm not your doctor, and I am not a licensed medical practitioner. But you SHOULD have this conversation with your doctor, and I'm going to teach you how to have that conversation.

Q: If I'm not vibing with the Reboot, can I get a refund? A: Yes, I have a 7-Day no-questions-asked refund policy. Just email me at contact@eatsimple.ca (or reply to one of the Reboot emails) before midnight on July 17th, and I'll refund ya. No refunds will be offered after that date.

Q: I don't have a Facebook account... will this still work for me? A: For the Basic package, a Facebook account will be extremely useful to watch the daily live teaching and coaching sessions. For VIPs, no Facebook account is required as you will have lifetime access to a private YouTube playlist where you can watch all of the video replays, forever. That being said, the Facebook group is a pretty important place to hang out, as well, for support from your coach and your community of Rebooters.

Q: What time are the live videos and what if I can't make it to watch it live? A: Replays, baby! The live videos will be streamed into the Facebook group and you can watch and interact with them whenever it works for you. I try to keep the live teaching sessions short and relatively light so it doesn't feel too daunting to catch up if you miss a session. VIP members get lifetime access to the video replays. Basic members get access to replays for 30 days (until August 11th).

Q: I want that Oura Ring you're giving away! How can I enter to win that? A: Everyone who signs up for the VIP experience will be entered to win an Oura ring.
