Your health choices are yours to make. No busy schedule; no social pressure; no unsupportive spouse or partner is making your choices for you. Tattoo the following phrases onto the undersides of your eyelids (not really). Remember them and recite them whenever you are confronted with a food or lifestyle choice.

  • It's taken me a lot of diets to arrive at something that is going to create true, lasting change to my health.

  • I'm excited about my health journey.

  • This is not a diet. I've made a health choice. This is what I do now. This is who I am.

  • I eat satiating, satisfying, nutrient-dense, metabolically-supportive, and self-honouring foods at least 80% of the time.

  • I am the kind of person who prioritizes self-honouring choices every day.

This is self-empowerment.

This is self-care.
